Position Summary:The Nursing Program at Governors State University is seeking to fill a Tenure/Tenure-track faculty position in the College of Health and Human Services. The successful candidate will teach across the curriculum in the RN-BSN, Master’s and DNP programs and help with the building of a caring, global community of nurses capable of meeting the administrative needs of healthcare institutions.
Governors State University is the only regional, public, comprehensive university in Chicago’s south suburban area, serving approximately 7,750 students annually. Faculty at GSU must demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to work with students at all levels, from first-year to graduate.

1. DNP or PhD in nursing or related field;
2. Master’s Degree with a Major in Nursing;
3. Current nursing license with eligibility
for licensure in the state of Illinois.
The desired candidate will have a record of current practice, scholarly activities, and nursing education experience.
