The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Laboratory Medicine Program at the University Health Network (UHN) are seeking to recruit an Anatomic Pathologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The candidate is expected to have diagnostic and research training/expertise in gastrointestinal pathology. The expected start date is January 1, 2023 or mutually agreed upon.

We are seeking an academic pathologist who will foster excellence in gastrointestinal practice, teaching, and research at the hospital. Duties include: participating in general frozen sections and/or autopsy; participating in diagnostic service for UHN and its client facilities; and after hours on-call. Participation and leadership in collaborative or independent research and publishing scholarly work is expected. The successful candidate must show evidence of excellent and innovative scholarship in teaching and education in undergraduate, post-graduate, fellowship, and continuing education.

The successful applicant must hold a medical degree, certification in Anatomical Pathology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent, and be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Sub-specialty fellowship in gastrointestinal pathology is essential. This full-time, permanent position (37.5 hours per week) offers an annual salary of $232,500 as well as a competitive benefits package.
