Job Details
Provide office, administrative, and project support for the Human Resources department and the Assistant Chief Human Resources Officer.
Essential DutiesProvide office, administrative, and project support for both the HR department and the Assistant CHRO.
Assist Benefits with the administration of the Retiree program, Wellness program, and other Health initiatives.
Assist other HR sub-groups as required.
Research, analyze, and prepare reports on various information to support the HR office.
Schedule appointments and make arrangements for conferences, meetings and travel; maintain assigned calendar(s) and other requested data.
Provide information to callers which may involve troubleshooting issues and explaining policies and procedures; route calls to the appropriate person; greet, announce and direct visitors.
Establish and maintain a filing system appropriate for record-keeping.
Maintain inventory of all supplies. Maintain departmental budget.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with equivalent work experience
One year of related work experience
Ability to perform responsibilities under one’s own initiative and with general supervision.
Ability to form working-relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.
Ability to resolve issues within established procedures.
Sensitivity when handling confidential information in a professional and discreet manner.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in Human Resources highly preferred.
Experience in Higher Education.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
