Job Details
Develops and implements fundraising plan for the Signature Symphony at TCC through development/ fundraising activities including but not limited to donor research, corporate sponsorships, annual fund drives, research of and application for foundation and government awards, new initiatives, solicitation, stewardship, event planning, grant writing and volunteer management. Collaborate with Artistic Director to support programming and oversee day-to-day operations of Signature Symphony at TCC, including working with TCC Finance for budget responsibilities and oversee Signature Symphony events and advisory board meetings.
Essential Duties1. Oversee Signature Symphony operations and work with the Signature Symphony Artistic Director to support programming.
2. Work with Signature Symphony Advisory Board to maintain donor and community relations.
3. Manage relationship and sponsorship development through planning and effective presentations.
4. Lead the planning and staffing of key fundraising or stewardship events and outreach.
5. Work closely with Signature Symphony and PACE staff, TCC Foundation and TCC Marketing and Communications, and the Signature Symphony Advisory Board to determine goals and budgets for fund-raising activities and to seek out additional funding opportunities.
6. Work with Marketing and Communications, Signature Symphony and PACE staff to help develop audiences and sales initiatives aimed at increasing exposure for the orchestra and building the organization’s databases.
7. Interact with donors, businesses, and community leaders in cultivation of new prospects, and
supervises staff and volunteers in the execution of fund-raising initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Resource Development, Public
Administration or a related field.
Five years of related work experience.
Familiarity with resources and current research in fund-raising, excellent interpersonal skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead the orchestra and Advisory Board in meeting budget and fund-raising goals.
Three years of leadership experience in fundraising.
Strong presentation skills, or other demonstration of fundraising skills or public relations (APR).
Experience using Raiser Edge or comparable software.
AFP Certification.
