The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of North Carolina Asheville seeks qualified applicants for a full-time, lecturer position that will begin in the fall semester of 2023. Initial appointment is two years. The person selected for this position must have earned a Masters or higher degree in mathematics, statistics or related discipline prior to July 1, 2023 and will be expected to teach 12 contact hours per semester (typically three courses), and engage in service to the department. The successful candidate will be expected to teach any of our entry-level mathematics and statistics courses. Successful candidates will be student-centered educators and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching to majors and non-majors alike. A Masters or higher degree in mathematics, statistics or a related field is required.
