The Postdoctoral Fellow will provide essential scientific support and play a managing role in the skin biology, carcinogenesis, cancer stem cells, and genotoxicity research program in the laboratory of Dr. Dean Rosenthal at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and will be responsible for basic laboratory research, performing technical aspects of assigned projects, development and optimization of lab protocols and procedures, ordering reagents and keeping track of reagents and lab materials, and helping in the training of other research staff and students in the lab in certain technical skills. The Postdoc fellow will assist the PIs with preparation and submission of peer-reviewed papers for publication, grant preparation, literature searches, slide preparations, research meetings, and other presentations. The position requires a Ph.D degree in biochemistry, biology, molecular biology, cell biology, or biotechnology, and at least one year of relevant experience in molecular biology/biochemistry and lab maintenance.
