Job Summary:
The Director of Recruitmentserves as a key member of the student experience leadership team and providesstrategic planning, direction and supervision of the recruitment team. Thisposition is responsible for coordinating and assessing all activities relatedto student recruitment. Additionally, this position works collaboratively withcampus departments such as Admissions, Marketing and Communications, AcademicAdvisement, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Testing and Assessment, and theOffice of the Registrar/Records in order to effectively recruit students. Thisis a functional supervisory position that is also charged with attending andhosting recruiting events.

Essential Job Functions:

Strategic:

Partner with the Office of Enterprise Systems and Business Intelligence to secure data reports that outline enrollment trends by division, degree and major.
Provides leadership in the development and advancement of OSU-OKC’s strategic recruitment, retention and enrollment goals established for each division, degree and major.
Develops, implements and manages a prospective student management plan to generate leads and applications resulting in prospect conversion to enrolled student.
Actively participate on the student experience leadership team, campus committees and professional organizations.
Works effectively and collaboratively with all segments of the university community to manage student recruitment related operations and initiatives.
Develops innovative proposals that engage the campus community in the recruitment and new student onboarding process.
Articulates knowledge of academic policies and procedures to internal and external colleagues and university partners.
Maintain knowledge on current Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education policies and procedures related to student admission and retention.
Assists with campus-wide recruitment, retention, and diversity efforts.
Represent OSU-OKC on system-wide and state-wide committees and/or organizations in support of inter-institutional policies, agreements, data management and reporting.

Operational:

Effectively leads and supervises a professional Recruitment Services staff, including but not limited to setting expectations and evaluating performance.
Administers the Recruitment office budget.
Collaborates with other student experience departments to develop, implement, and manage campus CRM initiatives and communications focused on student enrollment and retention.
Identifies areas for improvement and implements solutions through continuous process improvement strategies.
Collaborates with campus partners to identify, develop, and review key performance indicators, standard operating procedures, and process documentation; exhibits an understanding to this positions role in the campus semester plans.
Provides oversight of recruitment publications, marketing materials, webpages, and social media platforms.
Responsible for the administration of departmental technologies, software, and student information system (Banner) modules.
Maintains understanding of and compliance with all state and federal laws, policies and procedures related to recruiting, admissions, immigration, and enrollment.

Functional:

Perform all recruitment related duties of direct reports as needed.
Maintain CRM system processes for all recruitment functions. Ensure that all modules are properly maintained and that processes are continuously streamlined.

Reporting:

Develops, implements and manages assessment practices and prepares customized reports.
Maintains and analyzes student enrollment data by division, degree and major, and prepares reports to inform the development of general and program-specific recruitment strategies.
Maintains and analyzes prospective student data to calculate prospect conversions that inform and enhance recruitment strategies by source of prospective student.
Provides information required for various external compliance reporting. Coordinates the submission of specialized annual reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Work closely and collaboratively with partners on campus to ensure accuracy of reporting data and determining proper data reporting structures.
Completes all mandatory training and participated in a minimum of two professional development each year.

Bachelor’s degree

Work Experience:

    Minimum of five years progressively responsible work experience in a college recruitment office or related field.
    Experience in an area related to higher education recruiting management.
    Experience working in a fast-paced and customer service rich environment.
    Experience working in both collaborative/team environments and in positions that require individualized work with minimal supervision.

Certifications/Licenses:
Must have current driver’s license

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Ability to communicate diplomatically, clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing to exchange information, give/receive instructions and respond to inquiries appropriately.
    Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills required.
    Accurate typing/data entry skills and demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail.
    Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data.
    Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    Demonstrated coordination, planning, and organizational skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    Must be adaptable to performing under moderate levels of stress, imposed by frequent deadlines, peak workloads and public/student contact.
    Demonstrated knowledge of office technologies including but not limited to: office computers, fax machines, scanners, internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    High degree of initiative to work independently and also collaborate in a team environment.
    Ability to thrive in a high-paced and dynamic environment.
    Proficiency in computer applications, including databases, spreadsheets, customer relationship management software, etc.
    Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to a multicultural environment in an effort to work and communicate effectively with all students, faculty, staff and community partners.
    Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the community.
    Passion for assisting customers and representing the OSU-OKC and OSU brand with positivity and professionalism.
    Demonstrated history of ethical and professional behavior.
Preferred Qualifications:

    Master’s degree
    Demonstrated leadership and management/supervisory experience.
    Demonstrated strong focus on the student experience and student success.
    Knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, and other policies affecting student records and reporting.
Working Conditions:

    Must be able to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends.
    Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.
    Frequent travel may be required in Oklahoma City and surrounding communities
    Must be able to drive to and from recruitment activities and events.
Physical Requirements:

    Duties require extended periods of sitting, standing, talking and listening.
    Duties require extensive use of computers, telephone and other office equipment.
    Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs. (If an object weights more than 45 lbs., OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift).
    Ability to work in a remote environment based on campus and departmental needs.
