Schedule: Monday - Friday; Evenings and Weekends as needed. May teach at the Delaware/Regional Learning Centers as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Instruction and StudentLearning
Teaches assigned courses as scheduled and assumes primary responsibility forand exercises oversight of the curriculum in conjunction with the Department’spolicies, ensuring both the rigor of programs and the quality of instruction.Considers individual differences of students in order to design and support arange of appropriate learning activities. Participates in the identification ofstudents with academic or other needs and responds by utilizing an appropriateresource. Uses technology in a manner appropriate to the nature and objectivesof courses and programs and communicates clearly to students the expectationsconcerning the use of such technology. Keeps accurate and appropriate recordsin accordance with the Faculty Handbook and departmental policies.
Maintainsattendance records, determines and submits grades timely and in accordance withestablished policies and procedures of the College, and communicates progressfeedback as well as other relevant information to students throughout thesemester. Create and maintain accurate syllabi that incorporates departmental,college, cross-college, and instructor requirements. Participates in theselection of appropriate materials to support course curriculum in accordancewith the College’s guidelines. Conducts classes punctually and in accordancewith the prescribed meeting schedule. Employs and assists in the design anddevelopment of appropriate assessment techniques to measure students’performance in achieving course goals and objectives. Works closely withstudents in the clinic to maximize the instructional value of the clinic.
Student Engagement andAdvisement
Creates a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active andcollaborative learning, student effort, academic challenge, student and facultyinteraction, and support for learners. Maintains posted office hours inaccordance with departmental and policies of the College. Uses technology toassist in communication with students. Encourages a sense of community amongstudents for learning both inside and outside the classroom.
Advises potential or current students within the discipline about the program,career, or transfer options available to assist with degree completion. Refersstudents to appropriate student and academic support services available at theCollege or in the community.
Promotes continual improvement as part of the cycle of teaching and learningby: assisting, as appropriate, in the maintenance of instructional materialsand laboratory facilities; contributing, as appropriate, to the development,selection, and improvement of instructional materials, laboratories, and otherinstructional facilities; providing guidance in the development, maintenance,and design of course description, course outlines, and syllabi; recommendingmodifications to the curriculum; and participating in the design of newcurricula.
Completesall mandatory performance evaluation measures within specified time limits andparticipates in all required training by the College. Shares best practiceswith colleagues in formal or informal settings. Participates in instructional,departmental, or institutional research to improve educational effectiveness.Evaluates teaching and assessment practices to continue improving them.Provides feedback, as appropriate, regarding the general operations of thedepartment, division, and the College.
Participates, as appropriate, in theinterviewing, selection, and orientation processes of department faculty andstaff. Provides advice and/or assistance to faculty within the department,division, or College. Attends faculty meetings as called by the President,Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dean or Department Chairperson; andparticipates, as appropriate, on departmental and divisional committees.
Maintains a personal portfolio for tenure and promotion review and othercareer- related needs. Employs student, administrative and self-appraisals toestablish goals and objectives for professional development, and participatesin professional development activities. Contributes, as appropriate, to theplanning, evaluation, and/or presentation of college professional developmentprograms. Maintains required professional credentials, licensing, andcontinuing education hours as disciplinary standards dictate.

A Master's Degree in Business, Business Administration, Management, or BusinessEducation is required. Must have a minimum of five (5) years of previouswork experience in a business environment. A Microsoft Office Specialist orExpert Certification(s) specific to the BOA course and prior college-levelteaching experience and experience with Blackboard or other Learning Managementsystems are preferred.
StateMotor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to worksite(s).
