Schedule Information: Monday - Friday - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, occasional evenings, if needed.

Hours per Week: 37.5

Work Conditions: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature.  The primary functions of this position will be performed within the Center, on campus.

Duties of Position: Provides general reception/clerical support in the Hawks Care Resource Center.  Responsible for greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, and providing general information. 

Provides reception for the Center.  Greets visitors, answers telephone and emails, takes and distributes messages and provides information as appropriate.  Assists students by explaining services, verifying eligibility, scheduling appointments and assisting students with pantry and career closet shopping. 

Schedules appointments in computerized system.  Verifies student eligibility and information in computerized appointment software.  Verifies appointment requests and provides reminder calls to scheduled appointments daily. 

Processes walk-in appointments and assists students with pantry and career closet shopping.  Demonstrates good judgement and professionalism while providing friendly, efficient service. 

Sorts and distributes incoming mail.

Assists Administrative Secretary with projects as requested.

Types correspondence, memos, reports and other materials as needed. Assists with data entry and filing as needed.

Follows privacy and confidentiality guidelines with student record information.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent with minimum keyboarding of 50 wpm.

Experience Requirements: Two years of general office experience. Proficiency using Microsoft Word and internet. Strong customer service and computer skills required. Specialized software experience preferred. Bilingual preferred.
