Description Success coaches’ partner with our students throughout their whole college experience to ensure they have a support when things get tough. This position is all about the students, advocating & connecting them to departments, resources, or community partners, ensuring they have every advantage to set them up for success. There are many students who need this support, knowing how to build rapport, budget your time & keep them motivated as well as yourself are big in this role! Quick Glace of Duties and Responsibilities:
    Establishes connections/network with community and college resources, additional learning opportunities, other departments and committees to make information available to students as needed or requested.Acts as liaison and advocate for students identifying external barriers to success in their program completion to identified resources to inform students of options to address external barriers.Collaborates in the development of initiatives for student retention and completion which are ambitious but attainable towards the college mission, student expectations, and our educational offerings.Establishes regular presence on designated campus(s), including classes gathering student progress to create targeted success plans for student completion.Assists in the collection and analysis of information on student retention and completion in WSU Tech programs and offerings.Enhance classroom learning of students with all WSU Tech has to offer in order for current students to be fully equipped with information to be successful in their program of choice. Assists with the enrollment and advising of students as needed to complete special projects and enrollment events. Practices the ability to preserve confidentiality of sensitive information while using sound judgement with WSU Tech legal and policy compliance.

Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills Needed
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with Banner, Naviagate, Slate and ConexEd preferred.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform work responsibility with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Professional-level communication skills, including excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively with others in arriving at solutions to complex problems. 
  •  Ability to work in a dynamic atmosphere with multiple competing deadlines and job duties. Flexibility to work at different WSU Tech campuses as needed. 
  • Performs job duties in a reliable, productive, and responsible manner with a diverse population of students, staff, and community members. 
  • Effective time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a timely manner, and the ability to prioritize tasks, projects and goals.


Pay Rate: $19.50 /hr
Schedule: 8a-6p M-F typically; NCAT Campus
