Organizational Unit Overview:

The Department of Interdisciplinary Professions is one of six academic departments in ECU’s College of Education. The department is home to undergraduate and graduate programs in the areas of Adult Education, Counselor Education, and Library Science. The department also offers a number of certificate programs.

Job Duties :

The department is seeking applications for a full-time, nine-month, fixed-term faculty (1.0 FTE) for upcoming academic year (Spring 2023). This position will typically teach four courses per semester. Teaching loads will be considered with respect to other responsibilities. Additionally, this position may participate in other programmatic duties such as student advising, recruitment, and enrollment. This position will also participate in program, department, college, university, and professional service opportunities.

Contingent upon availability of funding.

Minimum Education/Experience :

Acceptable qualifications include a Master’s degree in Counselor Education or related field (such as mental health counseling, or school counseling). All qualifying degrees must be conferred and received from appropriately accredited institutions from a CACREP accredited program.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation :

none

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education :

Doctoral degree in Counselor Education or related field (such as mental health counseling, or school counseling) from a CACREP accredited institution preferred. Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and/or Licensed School Counselor also preferred.
