Job Responsibilities

The Film, Media, Visual Arts department is seeking Digital Media, Photography, Graphic Design and Animation adjunct instructors to teach in-person day and/or evening courses. NO ON-LINE COURSES.

Responsibilities include teaching and developing curriculum for traditional in-person courses. Candidate must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

These positions require a bachelor's degree in fine art or related field and experience teaching design, photography, digital design and/or animation. A bachelor's degree in art, graphic arts, digital media or a related will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

College-level teaching experience in visual arts is preferred. Ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of industry standard content creation software packages (i.e Maya, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Wordpress); and an understanding of the history and theory of contemporary design. Expertise with coding in Unity or Unreal game engines is highly desirable. The ability to teach Wordpress, Mobile apps and other Social Media software is also preferred. Professional experience in animation and/or interactive design on both PC and Macintosh platforms is essential. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are also essential.
