Job Responsibilities

Trident Technical College’s Division of Education Business Department seeks to build a pool of qualified applicants for temporary, part-time instructor positions to teach a variety non-credit computer courses. In-person classes are located at TTC Campuses or sites within our community. Courses are offered for varying competency levels from beginner to advanced levels to enhance technical skills both professionally and personally. Examples of courses offered are: basic PC literacy, CompTIA certification preparation (A+, Network+, Linux+, etc.), Microsoft Office & Windows, the Internet, Web Development (HTML, PHP, JavaScript), and Computer Programming (Java, Python, C++, C#, MySQL, etc.).

Minimum and Additional Requirements

The minimum requirements vary based upon the area of instruction.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Industry certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, LPI, Red Hat, or Cisco.
  • Computer programming utilizing either Java, C++, C#, Python, or other similar object-oriented programming environments (s).
  • Back-end web development, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, etc.
  • Working knowledge of databases such as SQL, MYSQL, Big data/analytics, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Windows operating system and current MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
  • Previous teaching experience in information technology.
  • Excellent customer service skills are a must.
