Description:

Effective Jan 1, 2023, the Division of Adolescent Medicine, Department of Paediatrics at the Hospital for Sick Children, which is an academic health science centre dedicated exclusively to children, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is seeking a full-time permanent faculty position as an Academic Clinician.

The successful candidate’s role will have a clinical and academic focus in Adolescent Medicine, including children with eating disorders, chronic health conditions, and youth transitioning into adult care. The successful candidate will have training, certification, and experience in Adolescent Medicine. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching is required. Academic interests, training and experience may focus on any of the following: health professions education, quality improvement or clinical research.

The successful candidate must be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Rank and salary ($215,000-$280,00) per annum will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will be eligible for a benefits package which includes medical, dental, life insurance, long term disability insurance, group insurance, pension plan, vision care, academic allowance, and a relocation package.

All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English, hold an MD, MBBS or equivalent thereto and be and be certified in Adolescent Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualifications. The candidate must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
