Position Description:
The successful candidate will have primary project management responsibility on a large research study examining the impact of guaranteed income on low-income folks. Principal duties include recruiting and retaining study participants according to research protocols; coding quantitative and qualitative data; leading collection of field data through interviewing and other techniques; managing the study database; training, supervising, and collaborating with graduate student researchers; and assisting in research activities, including design of data collection instruments, conducting analyses, and assisting with preparation of technical reports and manuscripts for publication. Candidate must be comfortable with community-based field research, and preference will be given to those with 2-3 years of experience collecting original data and those with prior leadership experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders from community, government, and higher education institutions.
A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is preferred for this position. Experience in community-based, social work, or social services environments is strongly preferred. Preference will be given to those with prior research experience, particularly community-based and qualitative data collection and analysis. Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required. Must have excellent organizational skills, clinical judgment, and capacity to work independently. Travel throughout Los Angeles County, depending on the public health guidelines, may be required.
