The School of Medicine's Department of Radiology has an opening for a full-time University Staff Postdoctoral Fellow in Musculoskeletal Imaging in the iQ-Lab.

The Image Quantification Laboratory (iQ-Lab) in the Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus invites a self-driven and curious candidate to apply for a postdoctoral position in the field of advanced image processing and analysis for musculoskeletal assessments using MRI, CT, and HR-pQCT.

The candidate will participate in both independent and collaborative research projects.

The candidate will be exposed to numerous training opportunities in clinical and translational musculoskeletal imaging research methods through interactions with researchers from the Department of Radiology, College of Nursing, Division of Geriatrics, Orthopedics Department, and Children's Hospital Colorado, as well as through the Colorado Program for Musculoskeletal Research.

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is equipped with a 3 Tesla GE PET/MRI scanner, 3 Tesla Siemens scanner, CT scanners, DXA scanners, and a Scanco second-generation XtremeCT HR-pQCT scanner.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $54,840 - $66,600, which is in alignment with the most current NIH NRSA pay scale, based on years of postdoctoral experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a PhD degree in Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field by the end of July 2022.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications:
  • Scientific computing capabilities and experience programming in MATLAB, C, or Python.
  • Experience with medical imaging modalities including MRI, QCT, DXA, and/or HR-pQCT.
  • Demonstrated evidence of critical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
