Qualifications

Requirements include a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Education (including chemistry education research), or a related field, and a strong teaching record. Candidates who are ABD must have Ph.D. conferred by start date. Candidates with a strong track record of teaching are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

The candidate’s primary teaching responsibility will be inorganic chemistry, a core requirement for the American Chemical Society (ACS) certified Chemistry major. The candidate will also teach general chemistry or organic chemistry classes and be expected to contribute to upper division coursework.
