Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Prospect Marketing, the Prospect Marketing Specialist will manage the day-to-day execution of the prospect marketing strategy, which may include email marketing campaigns and text messaging campaigns across various CRM and communication platforms, as well as event support through digital and CRM efforts. They will be a hands-on partner supporting the strategy and implementation of comprehensive database marketing tactics that support the prospective student life cycle, as one component of the larger engagement marketing plan. They will be relied upon to monitor and analyze performance statistics to enhance our ad hoc and automated email and text campaigns as well as contribute to the overall prospect marketing journey.

The ideal candidate will understand the importance of messaging, automation, audience segmentation, and UX play to achieve optimal results in prospect marketing. They will be a confident, self-motivated, and detail-oriented person with excellent communication skills who will not hesitate to jump in and work alongside team members on projects and tasks of all levels. They will be competent and driven and will have a positive attitude. They will possess initiative, good judgment, high awareness, and trustworthiness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and oversee implementation of database marketing initiatives—both automated and ad hoc—that support the student life cycle and decision-making process

  • Interpret and apply data to drive actionable insights and roadmap agile email solutions to reach and engage with consumers

  • Maintain a comprehensive schedule of emails for deployment and follow process to communicate progress on project requests to all pertinent internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able to self-prioritize

  • Assist in the development of all strategic plans for prospect marketing initiatives at our system schools

  • Set up and manage UTM parameters, and subject line and dynamic content optimizations for all campaigns

  • Manage email testing with Litmus to ensure optimal delivery across email clients

  • Learn and regulate operations to ensure we are in line with FCC guidelines regarding spam, bounce backs, etc.

  • Analyze and report campaign performance, including open rates, ROI, click-throughs, conversions, etc.

  • Manage text message campaigns

  • Support the implementation of new communication strategies, including member retention and win-back strategies; provide insights and look for opportunities for growth and efficiencies using internal data and industry best practices

  • Manage agency partners as needed for technical and creative support of campaigns

Requirements:

  • Experience building end-to-end email automations from ideation to launch

  • Possess a thorough understanding of email marketing tactics—best practices for email creative, audience segmentation, dynamic content, testing methodologies and deliverability to optimize performance and ensure CX

  • Experience analyzing data to adjust and support strategy

  • Must be self-driven to ensure efficiency and deadlines are met

  • Ability to work independently but also thrive in highly collaborative spaces- True problem solver—able to anticipate roadblocks and offer solutions

  • Flexible, versatile, learner; open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment- Detail-oriented and able to ensure projects are meeting milestones and expectations with little supervision

  • Skilled communicator with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, marketing, or technology related field

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role, and a solid foundation in marketing is a must

  • Excellent writing skillsets

  • Experience building end-to-end email automations from ideation to launch

  • Technical knowledge in HTML, CSS, AMPScript, and SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skilled in Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud preferred.
  • Experience in campaign design and implementation, using Journey Builder, for a personalized communication experience is a plus.
  • Salesforce certification is also a plus

Compensation & Benefits

This opportunity is budgeted at $48,000-52,000 base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
