Job Description:

A Full-Time Maintenance (40 hours/week) position with the Maintenance Department is currently available. The assignment will be Sunday through Thursday or Monday through Friday from 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. with half hour lunch during the Academic year. Hours will vary during the training period. Performs general maintenance and utility tasks of various types to care for and maintain all college buildings, and related facilities. Maintain electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment; perform general carpentry functions, but not limited to new construction, refurbishing, painting, roof and masonry repairs, and assist with snow removal.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license, and 1-3 years of general maintenance experience; excellent customer skills and be able to communicate verbally and written with students, faculty, and staff/administration. The position requires high school diploma or equivalent. Maximum lifting of 75 pounds, frequently lifting objects up to 50 pounds; must be able to use step ladders up to 16' to 20' and scaffolding. Does severe as a member of emergency on-call team for snow and other emergencies. Background in electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC is preferred.
