FULL TIME POSITION – Computer Information Science

Missouri Southern State University is currently seeking candidates for a full time (10 months) tenure track Computer Information Sciences (CIS) Assistant Professor Position in the Technology Department starting January 1, 2023 in Joplin, Missouri.

Successful candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of undergraduate courses which may include system analysis and design, database management, software engineering, MS Azure/Cloud, Mobile App Development, LAN administration, website administration, networking, and data analytics. Candidates with strong computer programming skills and some expertise in the area of cyber security are of particular interest. Teaching assignments may include both day and evening classes, as well as possible online and/or hybrid course engagement.

The ideal candidate will have a doctorate in a field related to computer information science, information technology, or computer science from a regionally accredited university. Masters with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant U.S. industrial experience will be considered for a Master Instructor position.
