DescriptionMount St. Joseph University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of analytical chemistry. A Ph.D. in analytical chemistry is required. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in analytical and instrumental chemistry as well as courses for allied health students and non-majors. Applicants should have a strong commitment to teaching, are expected to maintain an undergraduate research program, and are expected to take an active role in the life of the University, as well as other duties as assigned.
The following instrumentation is available in the Department: nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and high-performance liquid chromatography. Applicants will be expected to help maintain this equipment and to schedule service visits when necessary.The Department offers BS degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Natural Sciences.
