CLINICAL ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY & BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES 

Applications are invited for a full-time CLINICAL ASSISTANT PROFESSOR position in the Center for Behavioral Health Services and Implementation Research (CBHSIR) based in the Department of Psychiatry at Stanford. CBHSIR consists of three federally funded national centers focused on dissemination & implementation (D&I) research, and multiple implementation research and practice projects at health systems, state, county and community levels. CBHSIR’s overarching mission is to get the best care possible to the people who need it most. We intend to accomplish our mission by advancing and applying the science of implementation and thereby improve equitable access to the best treatments available. This is primarily a research and academic position (80%) with a small proportion of time for clinical practice in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences outpatient clinics (20%). CBHSIR consists of three national D&I centers: The Center for Dissemination and Implementation At Stanford (C-DIAS); The Research Adoption Support Center (RASC); and, the Mental Health Technology Transfer Center Network Coordinating Center (MHTTC). The 3 centers are federally-funded, respectively by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (P50DA05402), the National Institutes of Health Healing Addiction Long Term (HEAL) initiative (U2CDA057717), and the US Department of Health and Human Services Substance Use and Mental Health Services Administration (H79SM081726).

The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology and have an early track record of productivity and promise in partnering with health care organizations and generating translatable knowledge through rigorous research. Measurable success in national presentations and scientific publications is an asset. Licensure or license-eligibility as a clinical psychologist in California is required.
