Position Description

The College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA) at Arizona State University (ASU) invites applications for two teaching assistant/associate professor positions to begin in the Fall 2023 semester. The successful candidates will create and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Project Management; prepare class materials; evaluate student work; and hold office hours to assist students. In addition, they will participate in faculty service to the institution and profession.

These are a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure eligible positions renewable on an academic-year basis contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university. The candidates must reside in Arizona or be willing to relocate.

Required Qualifications:

§ Master’s degree in project management, business or a related field from an accredited institution at time of appointment, AND a PMP certification—OR—Doctorate degree in project management, business or a related field from an accredited institution at time of appointment and be willing to acquire a project management certification (e.g. PMP, CAPM) within one year of appointment

§ Two years teaching or training experience in project management or a related field

§ Ability to teach in digital environments such as Canvas (asynchronously and/or synchronously)

§ Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Expertise or industry experience in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, assessment and data analytics
  • Experience developing, refining, and/or assessing curriculum
  • Experience working in collaborative environments
  • Demonstrated success meeting the needs of underrepresented students and/or diverse communities
