Office of Information Technology

The University of Tennessee’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking a Salesforce Software Developer to join our Applications team.

This position will primarily focus on the implementation and ongoing support of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform for the campus.  The position will work under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Enterprise Applications and alongside a project manager, business analysts, and peer Salesforce developers.

The Salesforce CRM Software Developer executes the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of the campus CRM. As part of the growing campus CRM team, this position demonstrates a high degree of self-initiative and commitment to expanding skills and expertise via self-study, working/mentoring with colleagues, and internal and external training. Able to work on administration tasks on their own and may initiate analysis phases of application support.



Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years of related or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Experience with SQLKnowledge of JavaScript, REST and SOAP APIs, HTML, and XML
    Demonstrated ability to work closely with others across functional boundaries and varying experience levelsA good communicator and decision makerAbility to take direction and to collaborateStrong desire to learnAbility to develop thorough documentation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Salesforce development experienceExperience in use of APIs, Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, and Declarative ToolsExperience managing and integrating enterprise applications using web services, API(s) and other technologiesExperience implementing software applications end-to-end, including data conversion, post-production support and troubleshootingExperience in Higher Education settingExperience working in a team-focused environmentExperience with agile or waterfall software development methodologies
