Organizational Unit Overview:

The College of Engineering and Technology is comprised of the Departments of Computer Science, Construction Management, Engineering, and Technology Systems. Job Duties :

The Department of Construction Management in the College of Engineering and Technology seeks two full-time Teaching Instructor(s) or Teaching Assistant Professor(s) on a 9-month appointment to teach and advise students beginning in January 2023. These are fixed term positions which are annually renewed based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.

The successful candidates will be responsible to develop and maintain curriculum in Construction Management, mentor/advise students, perform service functions, and articulate with construction industry representatives, and have the ability and desire to work in a team setting and make positive contributions to the Department. Service to the university, community, and profession is expected.

The Department of Construction Management currently has 14 full-time faculty members serving approximately 690 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.

Minimum Education/Experience :

Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. All degrees must be conferred by accredited institutions.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation :

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education :

A combination of teaching and relevant industry professional experience at the project management level (preferably in the United States) of at least five years is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach undergraduate courses in BIM, Surveying, Contract, Equipment Management, Scheduling, Estimating, Cost Control, Mechanical, and Electrical Systems (MEP). Applicants holding a Ph.D. degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field able to teach graduate courses will be preferably considered.
