We seek a fish biologist committed to teaching and scholarship with an active research program that will involve undergraduate and graduate students and will promote our department mission to foster diversity, equity and inclusion in the biological sciences. This is a campus based position.Minimum QualificationsRequired Education:Doctorate or equivalent terminal degreeDiscipline / Degree Area:Fish Biology or related fieldRequired Specialized Training/Certifications: Required Minimum Work Experience: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, or Attributes Required for Satisfactory Performance of the Position Duties:Applicants must have a commitment to teaching. Successful candidates must have the ability to incorporate active learning strategies and establish an active research program with undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills.Additional Desirable QualificationsAdditional Desirable Qualifications:● Demonstrated teaching experience, particularly in limnology, fisheries management, aquaculture, fish ecology, and biostatistics
● Fisheries-related research field with specialties that complement current faculty
● Interest in inland or Great Lake fish biology, ecology and management issues
● Expertise with data management, visualization, and analysis
● Commitment to the mission of a public comprehensive university
● Record of successful grant writing
● Record of peer-reviewed publication appropriate to career stage
● Willingness and ability to work interdepartmentally
● Potential for collaborative research with other institutions

3) To identify, plan, and support activities that will encourage, promote, and recognize diversity on campus.
4) To evaluate the effectiveness of the Committee’s efforts and make adjustments to continually improve, including if necessary, recommending changes to the Committee’s charge.
5) To direct the President’s attention to issues regarding diversity on campus and in the surrounding communities.
6) To submit a report that enumerates and evaluates the Committee’s activities and makes recommendations, including recommendations regarding resource allocation, to the President by June 1 each year.
