General Summary

The School of Teaching and Learning at Illinois State University (ISU) is pleased to announce a nine-month, tenure-track position in Early Childhood Education with a Literacy Focus. The appointment for this position will commence on August 16, 2023.

Responsibilities of this position include teaching undergraduate courses in early childhood literacy, as well as general early childhood education and clinical courses; teaching graduate courses consistent with expertise and program needs; producing high quality scholarship; and working in collaborative partnerships with local school professionals. The Early Childhood Education program is seeking faculty who have demonstrated a commitment to social justice, cultural diversity, and inclusion. Required Qualifications

1. Terminal degree or ABD in relevant field with a completion date prior to August 16, 2023.
2. Minimum of three years teaching experience in preschool through 2nd grade.
3. Experience teaching early childhood literacy courses as well as general early childhood education courses, including clinical courses.
4. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
