The Clemson School of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences (SMSS) seeks to fill SMSS Postdoctoral positions, starting in the Fall 2023 semester. This is a 9-month position (August 15-May 15) with job duties consisting of teaching two courses per semester, conducting research, and light service duties. The appointment is initially for two semesters (August 15, 2023 - May 15, 2024) but is renewable for two additional years contingent upon funding and performance. The targeted research areas are operations research, statistics, probability, and data science. Candidates with strong potential for successful collaboration with current faculty in the Division of Statistics and Operations Research will be given highest consideration.
The SMSS contains two divisions: Mathematics and Statistics & Operations Research. Teaching and research areas in the SMSS include algebra and discrete mathematics, data science, computational mathematics, operations research, probability and mathematical statistics, and pure and applied analysis. The school offers the full range of Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees.
