Job Details
Assist Dual Credit Programs special population students who are preparing for college placement and college courses and/or enrolled in early college degree programs by embedding into the high school 9th – 12th grade cohort-ed program. Provide academic, social, and emotional support and collaborate with TCC EDGE coordinators and high school staff to identify and support at-risk students. Develop best practices, materials, and career role model opportunities and document in student support handbook.
Essential DutiesAssist EDGE students within the school day with college preparation, study skills, and tutoring.
Determine at-risk students and develop appropriate interventions.
Deliver interventions in coordination with EDGE staff and high school staff.
Assist EDGE coordinator at ENGAGE events, admission, enrollment, and bridge events.
Maintain records for EDGE cohort students’ progress and interventions.
Support EDGE coordinators, parents, and students during EDGE recruitment.
Develop competency in communicating EDGE program, degree paths, and expectations.
Develop and deliver updates on student progress.
Attend college functions as needed.
Minimum QualificationsAssociate degree or equivalent education.
3 years' experience in high school, higher education, or like grant-funded program (Upward Bound).
Demonstrated knowledge of college policies, tutoring protocols, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Federal Education Right to Privacy Act (FERPA).
Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and diverse workplace.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Demonstrated Ability in project management.
Experience with Word, Outlook, EXCEL, Microsoft office, Zoom, Teams, Blackboard or other LMS.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree.
Teaching certificate.
