Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Full-time, tenure track position to begin August 2023.

Conduct research in environmental geosciences or a related field, pursue external funding, publish, mentor undergraduate and graduate student research and advise students. The position carries a reduced teaching load. The primary teaching responsibilities will be Sediments and Soils, Geomorphology, and upper-level and graduate level courses in the area of expertise, and other classes as needed.

Minimum Education Requirements:

Ph.D. in Geology, Geosciences, or closely related discipline

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

Applicants must have postdoctoral research experience. Candidates must demonstrate strong research potential as evidenced by publications, grants, or other scholarly activities. Candidates’ research area must be compatible with the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and the Watershed Studies Institute. Teaching experience at the postdoctoral level is ideal, but experience as a graduate teaching assistant is acceptable. Candidates must demonstrate teaching effectiveness and be able to teach Geomorphology, and Sediments and Soils.
