Dean, School of Film

The University of the Arts (UArts) welcomes nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the School of Film.  This is a renewed search to be completed this academic year.

The School of Film - which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary - currently comprises undergraduate BFA study in Animation (2D, 3D and stop-motion/experimental), Game Art, Film (narrative, documentary, experimental), Film and Animation (a hybrid major that allows students to explore both disciplines), Film Design (a collaborative major that focuses on art direction, and production, costume, set, lighting and sound design) and Screenwriting.  

The new Dean will be an imaginative, collaborative, and skilled administrative leader with an expansive professional network. They will understand the power of the moving image and its status both as an art form and a medium that can entertain, inspire, educate, connect and facilitate social change.  The Dean will build on the success of the existing program and enact a vision that is future focused and sustainable.
