The Department of Political Science at the University of Alabama invites applications for a 3-year Renewable Contract position at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 16, 2023. The position is open in regard to subfield. We seek a colleague with the ability to teach multiple courses in one or more subfields—including American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Theory, and/or Public Administration—and who complements the department’s current areas of expertise. The successful candidate may be asked to make service contributions in areas such as undergraduate advising in exchange for a reduced teaching load.

A Ph.D. in political science, or a related field, is required by the start date.
