Job Details
The Department of Counseling, Health and Kinesiology is currently seeking applicants from qualified candidates for part-time (typically two classes), non-tenure-track adjunct faculty positions. The Health & Kinesiology Program offers undergraduate and graduate degrees that can prepare students for health-and/or kinesiology-related careers in either a school setting or the public sector. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in
Health and Kinesiology classes (Exercise Science, Pre-Physical Therapy, and EC-12 Physical Education). Preference will be given to applicants who have evidence of effective teaching in the field of Health and Kinesiology. Teaching assignments include face to face and hybrid courses in the candidate's area of expertise. Workload hours depend on the course schedule and teaching assignments may include day, night, and/or weekend courses.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate Faculty
Master's degree in Kinesiology or a commensurate field and 18 graduate hours in Kinesiology
Graduate Faculty
Doctoral degree in Kinesiology or a commensurate field and 18 doctoral hours in Kinesiology
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
University teaching experience
Experience mentoring students.
Experience with educational technology and distance learning.
