Desired Skills and Experience:
We seek candidates who have breadth in the study of 18th and 19th century United States history and its Atlantic World context, and who are passionate about innovative teaching within a liberal arts context. The successful candidate must be able to teach undergraduate courses in the period on U.S. history, African American history, the U.S. in Atlantic World context, and historical research methods. There will be opportunities to teach graduate courses in Drew’s interdisciplinary M.A. Program in History and Culture, corresponding to the needs of the undergraduate department. In addition to excellent teaching, candidates will be expected to maintain an active program of scholarship, broadly defined, and to contribute to the university community through mentoring and advising students, co-curricular planning, collaboration across disciplines, committee service, and leadership at Drew.How to Apply:

Drew University, located on a beautiful, wooded, 186-acre campus in Madison, New Jersey, includes the College of Liberal Arts, the Theological School and the Caspersen School of Graduate Studies. It has a total enrollment of more than 2,100 students with 145 full-time faculty members.
