Western New England University, a national comprehensive university at the forefront of progressive thinking and positive change, invites applications, nominations and expressions of interest for the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Western New England University (WNE) is a private institution with a tradition of excellence in teaching, research and scholarship and a commitment to providing innovative liberal and professional education opportunities. President Robert E. Johnson, Ph.D., was appointed in the summer of 2020, and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Maria Toyoda joined the university in 2021. Under their leadership, WNE is rising to meet this moment of unprecedented change in higher education as a model for the "New Traditional University," one renowned for graduating students who are both work-ready and world-ready, prepared to contribute to society and a constantly-evolving workforce.

This is a unique opportunity to join WNE as the university reimagines and realizes its future as a modern, student-centered institution. Reporting to the President and serving as a member of the President's Cabinet, the Vice President for Enrollment Management will join a dynamic and agile team of future-focused leaders and provide a strategic, innovative and forward-thinking vision to grow enrollment for an institution that empowers action to create new value in society. With responsibility for teams in undergraduate and graduate admissions, financial aid, enrollment systems and planning, the Vice President will assume a significant and influential position with the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to the future of WNE.

The successful candidate will utilize sophisticated, data-informed strategies and effective, creative and inspirational approaches to enrollment planning, student recruitment, admission and financial aid. The Vice President will be a relationship builder who listens, inspires and establishes trust and collaborative partnerships across the university. The new leader will increase transparency and collaboration by engaging key constituencies in discussions about enrollment priorities and shared goals. Additionally, the Vice President will cultivate a high-functioning enrollment management team that fosters a sophisticated and collaborative approach to university-wide enrollment and operates as data-informed division with clear measures of success and accountability at its core.

A private, independent, coeducational institution founded in 1919 with an attractive 215-acre suburban campus in Springfield, Massachusetts, Western New England University is one of only a few U.S. comprehensive institutions with national and international accreditations at the highest levels enrolling under 5,000 students. Undergraduate, graduate and professional programs are offered by 213 full-time and 124 part-time faculty through Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and the School of Law. The low student-to-faculty ratio allows faculty to work closely with students in class, labs and through guided research. The university offers a myriad of experiential learning opportunities, including field experiences, student teaching, engineering design projects and internships at a network of more than 1,000 companies and organizations across the country.

All applications, nominations and inquiries are invited. Applications should include, as separate documents, a CV or resume and a letter of interest addressing the themes in the profile.
