Job OverviewAs one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The Department of Surgery is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff.

A full-time faculty position is available in the Division of Surgical Oncology at the Department of Surgery, University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine position; academic rank to be commensurate with training and experience. This position joins an active Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Program within the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center that is triple accreditation from the NAPBC (National Accreditation Program of Breast Centers), NQMBC (National Quality Metrics of Breast Centers), and the ACR (American College of Radiology). Essential Functions
  • Duties will include responsibilities for the clinical, research and teaching activities for surgical trainees (residents and fellows) and medical students.
  • Candidates must be committed to an academic career that combines outstanding patient care with excellent teaching and impactful research activities.
Minimum Requirements
    MD or DO from an appropriately accredited institution.Full and unencumbered license to practice medicine in Ohio.Certification or eligible for Certification by the American Board of Surgery.Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in General Surgery and a SSO-approved Surgical Oncology or Breast Oncology fellowship or equivalent experience.Applicants should demonstrate commitment to teaching and research.
Additional Qualifications Considered
    Successful candidates must have completed an accredited general surgery residency, a breast surgery or surgical oncology fellowship and be board certified/eligible with the American Board of Surgery. The ideal candidate will have a focus in comprehensive Breast Surgery with both clinical and research interests. The ideal candidate will have an interest in clinical, health outcomes, or translational research.
