This position reports directly to the Director of The Children's Eating Laboratory, Susan L. Johnson, PhD in the Section of Nutrition, and will be responsible for a Vitamix Foundation funded intervention project through which you will be involved in implementing complex research plans, the development of methods of research, testing and data collection, analysis and evaluation, and writing reports containing descriptive, analytical and evaluative content.
This position will be responsible for a Vitamix Foundation funded intervention project through which you will be involved in implementing complex research plans, the development of methods of research, testing and data collection, analysis and evaluation, and writing reports containing descriptive, analytical and evaluative content.
The duties will require the exercise of independent discretion and judgment in carrying out research activities, including supervision of research personnel, within the predetermined research scope and methodology. You will be required to participate in literature searches, visit scheduling and data collection, data coding and analysis, manuscript development, development of conference presentations and reports for funding agencies. You will also be required to participate in lab and equipment maintenance, ordering of supplies as needed, use available technology effectively to facilitate the success of the project, liaise with other departments, outside collaborators, and others to ensure success of project. Other duties, as assigned, will include attending Scientific Conferences and Meetings. You will be encouraged to develop your own proposals for pilot funding and apply for independent early career funding.
Salary & Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $54,835 to $57,780
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a PhD
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Nutrition-related research
Preferred qualifications:
- Registered dietitian or RD eligible
- Experience collecting anthropometric measures in infants and young children
- Experience and training with NDSR
- A least two years of progressively responsible supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- CPR certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in study design, study conduct, statistical analyses, and writing and presentation skills
- Proven ability to work independently within a research lab
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience and skill engaging mothers and young children in research related to eating and feeding
- Experience in analysis utilizing SAS, SPSS, MPlus and Qualtrics
Conditions of employment:
- Must successfully pass a 10-panel drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
- Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal and sex-offender
