The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine (CUSDM) is seeking outstanding dental specialty applicants who are trained as periodontists, endodontists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons, for a full-time, open rank position in the Department of Surgical Dentistry. This faculty position reports to the Chair of the Department of Surgical Dentistry and to appropriate division leaders in their dental specialty. Responsibilities include teaching, research and service to the department.

The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine is located on the Anschutz Medical campus, one of the nation's newest comprehensive academic health science centers. CU Anschutz includes Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health; a College of Nursing, a Comprehensive Cancer Center, and two nationally ranked hospitals, the Children's Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado Hospital. Job Responsibilities
Teaching – Essential Function (80%)
Primary teaching responsibilities for faculty in the clinical teaching track are focused on collaboratively building and/or maintaining programs within the SDM that provide quality service regarding local, state, national, and international needs in alignment with the mission and strategic plan of the SDM.

Service – Essential Function (10%)
Service responsibilities include service to the assigned program, the School, and with other responsibilities as negotiated.

Research/Scholarship – Essential Function (10%)
Research /scholarship responsibilities offer an opportunity collaborate on or initiate programmatic inquiry and scholarship in alignment with SDM mission and vision.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at:

Clinical Assistant Professor (C/T)
Salary Range: $115,000 - $145,000

Clinical Associate Professor (C/T)
Salary Range: $145,000 - $175,000

Clinical Professor (C/T)
Salary Range: $175,000 - $215,000

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Minimum Requirements


Assistant Professor:
o A DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited U.S. dental school or foreign equivalent
o Completion of a CODA approved Dental Specialty Residency
o Dental specialty Board eligibility
o Eligibility for a Colorado dental license
o At this rank, applicants will have some successful teaching experience and will be expected to teach and/or provide clinical care.

• Associate Professor:
o A DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited U.S. dental school or foreign equivalent
o Completion of a CODA approved Dental Specialty Residency
o Dental specialty Board eligibility
o Eligibility for a Colorado dental license
o At this rank, applicants will be well qualified to teach and/or provide clinical care with considerable demonstrated evidence of successful teaching and demonstrated leadership and service.

• Professor:
o A DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited U.S. dental school or foreign equivalent
o Completion of a CODA approved Dental Specialty Residency
o Dental specialty Board eligibility
o Eligibility for a Colorado dental license
o At this rank, applicants will demonstrate outstanding accomplishments in teaching, and/or providing clinical care, a record of leadership, and a meritorious leadership and service record.

• Successful candidates will have experience and demonstrate inclusivity while working in a diverse academic, research and clinical community.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational and communication skills are required.
