The Department of Health Policy is a multidisciplinary group with broad research and education programs in health policy, both domestic and global (https://healthpolicy.fsi.stanford.edu/). Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree or an M.D. with substantial research background and/or training in research. Training and expertise should be in an area related to health policy/health services research, such as economics or health economics, decision science, statistics or data science, health law, epidemiology, operations research or management science, implementation science, quality improvement or organizational aspects of health care. A focal area of particular interest to DHP is health equity and disparities. Physician-researchers with expertise in health policy and health services research also are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent research program and to participate in the School of Medicine's training and teaching programs in health policy.

To apply, please submit: (1) a curriculum vitae; (2) a letter addressed to Dr. Joshua Salomon, Search Committee Chair, of no more than three pages in total length, describing your interest in this position, a statement on your research and teaching, and the names and email addresses of 3 references; and (3) an exemplary written sample of your scholarship, which may be a dissertation chapter, manuscript or published article or book chapter. Applications will be reviewed beginning October 24, 2022 and accepted until the position is filled.

The Department of Health Policy, School of Medicine, and Stanford University value faculty who are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
