Responsibilities
Supervises the work of the Admissions Operations team with responsibility for quality and quantity of work. Manages the work of the operations team for the department.
Provides guidance to subordinates on most complex issues.
Makes hiring recommendations, trains staff, delivers employee performance evaluations, counsels staff and recommends corrective action.
In coordination with the management team, sets and executes operational and logistic priorities for operations. Manages the application cycle.
- Participates in the development of operational priorities, plans and procedures to meet department goals. This includes the areas of application processing, document management, advising and prospective student communication, and materials development.
Identifies associated changes to business practices and updates policies and procedures.
- Trains staff and troubleshoots implementation/execution.
Set direction for admit onboarding process to ensure seamless transition from admitted candidate to matriculated student.
- This includes developing and maintaining automated communication and templates for team communications.
Evaluates and makes decisions regarding applicant materials, acts as resource and process owner for team and department.
- Contributes to the revision of policies and procedures, operational guidelines and documentation.
Manage Admissions application and enrollment systems including; Technolutions Slate, software platforms for GMAC, ETS, ReVera, and Kira.
Serve as Admissions lead on cross-department and cross-campus projects and initiatives with Haas Technology Solutions team, The Graduate division, and data integration with Career Management Group and Program Office.

Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in supervising the work of others and the ability to organize and set priorities that accurately reflect department goals and objectives. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on assignments and manage projects with minimal direction. Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking skills to analyze problems and develop effective solutions. Effective writing and editing skills, including experience developing policy/procedures, reports and presentations. Understanding of and/or ability to learn common University-specific computer application programs. Knowledge of and/or ability to learn University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment. Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating a desire to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging to establish and maintain positive & professional working relationships with colleagues, students and team members. Exemplifies Haas' four Defining Leadership Principles: (1) Question the status quo; (2) Confidence without attitude; (3) Students always; and (4) Beyond yourself. Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in a business, organization or public university setting.
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other business software. Ability to understand and interpret complex documents and data specifications. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
Salary & Benefits
This is a 100% time (40-hrs a week), monthly paid, exempt position. Annual salary is commensurate with experience up to $104,400.00 to $112,750.00.
