This team interacts with others at all levels of the organization and enjoys constant variety and challenge. We're looking for an accomplished instructional designer who is prepared to model best practices in employee learning program design. If you are an enthusiastic contributor who enjoys being in the middle of important work, want to help shape organizational change, and are interested in designing innovative, equitable, and inclusive learning experiences, this is the position for you. Work is mostly remote with occasional in-person meetings on campus.

  1. Experience creating employee learning experiences that meet quality and accessibility standards
  2. Ability to discuss application of adult learning theory in instructional design
  3. Experience conducting needs assessments and developing learning outcomes
  4. Experience developing project plans and managing project resources
  5. Experience managing the needs of stakeholders who have competing priorities
  6. Experience developing communication and outreach plans

Minimum Qualifications

Position Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Learning Design position requires a Master’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design/Technology, Multimedia Design, Communications, Computer Science, Management or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Two (2) years of full-time professional experience in instructional design managing multiple projects and priorities and assessing and developing training and/or academic courses.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience developing employee learning programs for Banner or another large and complex application system
  2. Experience developing employee learning programs in higher education
  3. Knowledge of best practices in change management

Position GradeJStarting Salary ExpectationsMinimum $68,013 to range midpoint of $83,313. PCC currently fully funds the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP) pension and contributes an additional 6% into the employee's Individual Account Program under PERS/OPSRP. After one year of management or confidential service, PCC also provides a 2% contribution to a 403(b) account for eligible management and confidential personnel. PCC offers a tax deferred annuity program and a deferred compensation program where employees may save additional pre-tax dollars for retirement.

Additionally, PCC provides a tuition waiver for you, your spouse/domestic partner, and dependent children under 24 years of age, as well as partial tuition reimbursement for full-time employees at other accredited institutions.

Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsWork is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule.
