Responsibilities

This position provides direct administrative support, as well as helps coordinate information and services for the Juris Master Program.

    Serves as initial office point of contact, performs clerical duties, answers main phone line, and maintains office e-mail account. Coordinates appoints, provides support for office functions and events. Prepares, reviews, and edits correspondence. Assists with general filing as well as office organization and maintenance. Checks and distributes departmental mail. Organize and maintain electronic records ensuring accuracy and accessibility utilizing various systems and databases. Helps maintains central office calendar to include office projects/events, leave dates, and travel schedules.Knowledge of university and college student recourses. Ability to appropriately connect students to correct contacts. Maintain confidentiality and abide by all aspects of The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) that protects the privacy of students' educational records. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalency and minimum one year of experience in a customer service or office setting is required. Post-high school education may substitute for work experience at the comparable rate.

    Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to balance multiple responsibilities and tasks and meet deadlines effectively in a dynamic environment.Experience working on an independent level while performing a variety of duties which require initiative and sound judgment.Applicants must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software and standard office equipment. Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new technology and concepts. Knowledge of standard office procedures, equipment and etiquette is essential.Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally in writing. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive issues and handling inquiries. Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and interdepartmental personnel.
Preferred

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

This is an OPS/temporary Job.

Schedule This position works in the office 8am-5pm Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour break for lunch.
