Job Description Summary

The Facilities and Campus Services Business Operations Analyst will work under minimal supervision performing a wide range of administrative and analytical tasks as directed by the Senior Director of Business Operations.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Prioritizes and manages multiple administrative projects simultaneously and follows-up on time-critical issues.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to sensitive departmental and university data and communication.

  • Provides correspondence and other written communication in support of the Business Operations group and F&CS department as a whole.

  • Provides analysis information from F&CS business operations, services, operations, human capital, as well as project design and planning to be used in cross functional meetings across the University as requested.

  • Ability to combine and translate qualitative data and data analysis for the consumption of departmental and campus partners, as well as university leadership.

  • Partners with F&CS leadership to capture, create, and present data relating to key metric areas. Responsible for exploring and developing trending reports based upon historical data collected.

  • Ability to collaborate on the special projects associated with the dynamic responsibilities and priorities of the office.

  • Conducts research and in-depth analysis on topics related to F&CS in higher education and other comparable entities.

  • Works with multiple functional areas of the department and University developing strong relationships to maximize input and opportunities for helpful insights and collaboration; evaluates and distills analysis conducted by other departments.

  • Assist Fleet Management in coordination of transactions and scheduling requests through the Agile software systems and other tasks as assigned.

  • Assist in making room reservations, manages EMS room reservations, sets up meetings.

  • Process invoices as needed for requested areas. Track costs and cost savings over time.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training.

  • Strong ability to anticipate needs, plan ahead, and to proactively and strategically meet those needs in a timely manner.

  • Possesses strong initiative, excellent judgment and ability to function independently.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.

  • Ability to organize workflow, manage and track multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to be versatile, learn and act on new information and projects efficiently, while maintaining a strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

  • Proficient in the use of Office Suite Products, Adobe, Internet, and other relational database programming for use in creating and interpreting reports.

  • Ability to leverage the newest software technologies to create dynamic presentations and infographics.

  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail and sound judgment.

  • Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of practices and procedures involved in project management, including, but not limited to research, benchmarking, best practices, planning, and execution.
