Governors State University, a minority serving institution, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment as Assistant Professor in Mathematics beginning in August 2023. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate mathematics and statistics courses. We seek candidates with outstanding teaching skills, experience working with non-traditional and diverse student populations, evidence of (or potential for) a distinguished record of scholarship as well as community service via projects, committees and/or leadership roles. We are particularly interested in candidates with a data science, probability and statistics background, but teaching excellence is of greater interest to us than research field.
