The University of North Alabama’s Anderson College of Nursing and Health Professions (ACONHP) is seeking qualified full-time faculty at the rank of lecturer for the nursing programs. Salary and rank will be based on qualifications of the successful candidate. The ACONHP is fully-accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education [One DuPont Circle, NW, Suite 530, Washington, DC 20036, (202) 463-6930] and approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing. Minimum qualifications for this position include: Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution is required; Family nurse practitioner or psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner certification is preferred; Five years of clinical practice is required; Three years of classroom or clinical teaching experience in an accredited registered nursing program or higher degree nursing program is preferred; An unencumbered nursing license for the State of Alabama, or the ability to obtain such, is required; and online teaching experience and/or willingness to teach online courses is preferred.

Established in 1830 as LaGrange College, the University of North Alabama has a rich history including the distinction of being the first state-supported teachers college in the South. The school's 130-acre campus is located in the historic district of Florence, Alabama, on the Tennessee River. Students come from around the country and world, but UNA is largely a regional university with about 70% of students coming from Alabama. Students can choose from more than 60 majors with professional fields in business, education, and nursing being most popular.
