Description

The Associate Director of University Recruitment is responsible for supporting Graduate Admissions and Extended Learning efforts. This position will be responsible for developing and executing a targeted recruitment effort nationally and regionally throughout the northeast. This key position will influence marketing, recruitment strategy, and communication efforts within the Graduate Admissions office. This position reports to the Director of Admissions.

Examples of Duties

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Conduct research on recruitment opportunities in emerging markets for a broad range of university academic programs. Develop enrollment goals and targeted strategies, in consultation with the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Director of Admissions, which cultivate prospective students in assigned markets. Serve as the lead recruiter for graduate programs, expanding geographic base and yield efforts. Collaborate closely with the Director of Admissions on identifying markets with greatest potential for each graduate program. Conduct recruitment travel and attend events, including college fairs and professional/career fairs, at schools, universities, agencies and professional associations nationally and regionally. Execute a broad array of recruitment activities including prospect cultivation, relationship management, and correspondence, including remote interviews, emails, personal phone calls, social media initiatives. Manage the communication and application process for recruited students, assisting with file completion process, and post-decision yield activities utilizing admissions CRM system Slate. Collaborate with grad programs utilizing the College Application Service (CAS) applications, encouraging students to complete files for action. Maintain an overall knowledge of each program of study and relevant professional associations and partnerships, with an emphasis on current and emerging feeder schools and program. Attend on-campus recruitment events such as open houses, information sessions, and accepted student events. Participate in other recruitment related activities and special projects as directed by the Vice President for Enrollment Management or Director of Admissions. Attend professional development workshops, meetings and conferences. Remains current on changes in University policy and curriculum. Participates in and attends professional workshops and organizations Acts as liaison for the Graduate Admissions Office with Husson University’s academic program departments and external organizations. Meets with prospective students and/or families for the purposes of recruitment Prepares Admissions reports at the request of the Vice President for Enrollment Management or Director of Admissions.

Typical Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred

Experience: Three or more years in college or university admissions and recruitment, preferably at a private university.
