Brown University Athletics is seeking candidates for a Marketing Intern for the 2022-2023 season. The marketing assistant will assist in the development, coordination and execution of marketing plans for assigned varsity sports.
Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the development and coordination of marketing plans for the department and specific teams to generate attendance and revenue for athletic events.
- Assist in event marketing, planning and implementation.
- Develop game-day promotions. Assist with preparation of game-day public address scripts and execution of in-game promotions. Assist with planning and coordinating outside group attendance at athletic events.
- Coordinate appearances by Bruno (mascot) at Athletics events, campus events, and at marketing events in the community.
- Assist in Social Media Efforts. Capture and create content/messaging for official Brown Athletics social media outlets.
- Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Prior experience in athletics marketing, promotions, or operations preferred.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral communication and computer skills needed.
- Experienced with Adobe Photoshop
- Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
- The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background, Education and credit check, and MVR check satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
