The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites nominations and applications for the position of Executive Director of the Office of Instructional Technology and Faculty Resources.

Founded in 1824 in Charleston, MUSC is the oldest medical school in the South, as well as the state’s only integrated, academic health sciences center with a unique charge to serve the state through education, research, and patient care. Each year, MUSC educates and trains more than 3,000 students and more than 850 residents in six colleges: Dental Medicine, Graduate Studies, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy. The state’s leader in obtaining biomedical research funds, in fiscal year 2019, MUSC set a new high, bringing in more than $328 million in total sponsored extramural funding.

Reporting to the Associate Provost for Education Innovation and Student Life, the Executive Director will provide leadership for the operations of the Office of Instructional Technology and Faculty Resources and serve as a faculty member within the Department of Academic Affairs Faculty, Division of Education Innovation and Student Life, and the University.

The successful candidate will have an advanced terminal degree in educational technology, health or science education, or business-related field and at least 5 years of experience of direct involvement in educational technology and teaching required as well as administrative and project management experience. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to interact comfortably and respectively with diverse individuals.
