The Trinity Valley Community College Board of Trustees invites applications for the position of President of Trinity Valley Community College. The College's main campus is located in beautiful Athens, Texas, which has the charm of a small southern town while still affording many of the qualities of a larger city, all of which is amidst a rich and culturally diverse and rural yet close-knit population. Trinity Valley Community College is a comprehensive, two-year higher education institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The College offers associate degrees, diplomas, certificates, skills certifications, workforce, and economic development programs, and literacy education. The President is hired by and directly responsible to the Board of Trustees and serves as the institution's Chief Executive Officer. The President provides leadership for its day-to-day administration, management, and operations, consistent with policies established by the Board, the General Statutes of the State of Texas, and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The Board, President, Faculty, and staff adhere to the principle of shared governance. A candidate must possess a minimal credential of a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and a minimum of five years of successful executive-level administrative, management, or academic administrative experience. However, an earned doctorate from a regionally accredited educational institution and a minimum of ten years of successful senior-level academic or administrative experience is preferred.
