Job Description Summary:

The Director, PATH Program is responsible for the comprehensive management, implementation, and evaluation of the College’s PATH grant. The PATH grant is designed to increase the number of students completing high-need health care certificates and degrees to add more qualified professionals to our state’s healthcare system. The LLCC program provides academic support, career coaching, and other high impact retention/success practices to program participants. The Director reports to the Vice President of Student Services and supervises all PATH grant staff.

As a staff member at LLCC, you can look forward to 22 paid holidays a year, including 2 weeks at the end of the calendar year and one week in March for mid-semester break; 12 Fridays off in the summer; and 2 personal days, 15 sick days, and 20 vacation days per year. LLCC staff, their spouse and qualified dependent children are eligible to use the tuition waiver on credited courses. LLCC is a positive, team-oriented environment supportive of staff development. This is a grant-funded position. Funding for this position has been secured through 6/30/2023.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate combination of education and experience
  • Three or more years’ experience in budget management
  • Background and experience in providing support/resources to underserved populations, especially academic advising, retention, career services, and/or financial aid/scholarships
  • Demonstrated experience developing partnerships with businesses/community organizations
  • Background and experience working with students who are academically and economically disadvantaged
  • Demonstrated ability to relate well with students, faculty, administration and community members
  • Knowledge and experience of grant management and grant writing
  • Background similar to the target population/participants
  • Ability to generate data and reports related to the program
  • Ability to conduct research, evaluate data, and report findings to appropriate campus and other relevant stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and use professional judgment
  • The ability to work with diverse populations and varying educational levels
  • Detail orientation, good leadership skills, conflict resolution skills, strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and good time management skills
  • Proficiency with computer programs, especially Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential files and information

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and drug-screen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with and understanding of college retention, student success, and persistence
  • Three or more years’ experience in a public community college or other similar organization

Position Salary:

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience but will be no less than $63,305 per year with an excellent benefits package.
